What is DecisionOS?

DecisionOS is a decision infrastructure platform for enterprise technology buying. It turns fragmented evaluations, spreadsheets, slide decks, vendor calls, Slack threads, into one structured workflow that produces a board-ready, audit-ready decision memo. DecisionOS is built by nexalign GmbH in Berlin and runs on dedicated servers in Germany.

Who DecisionOS is built for

Primary users are CISOs and CIOs running high-stakes technology decisions under regulatory pressure, EDR/XDR, IAM, governance tooling, sovereign cloud, IT outsourcing, ERP/CRM. Secondary users are procurement, risk, legal and finance functions that sit inside buying committees.

What DecisionOS does

You describe the decision in plain language. DecisionOS extracts category, trigger, urgency and stakeholders.

You confirm options and a shortlist, select the compliance frameworks that apply (NIS2, DORA, ISO 27001, SOC 2), identify stakeholders with stance and key drivers, and score options against weighted criteria.

The output is a board-ready decision memo, per-role stakeholder briefs, a weighted vendor comparison matrix and a live Readiness Score that tells you when the memo is actually audit-ready.

What DecisionOS is explicitly not

Not a vendor directory, not a procurement marketplace, not a generic AI chatbot, not an RFP-automation tool, not a consulting firm. DecisionOS is purpose-built software for running a single technology decision end-to-end with structure, evidence and stakeholder alignment.

Why not just use ChatGPT?

General-purpose AI assistants are great for research. They do not keep a structured decision record, do not weight criteria, do not separate hard dealbreakers from trade-offs, and do not produce an audit-ready memo. DecisionOS wraps AI research inside a workflow that enforces structure, flags unverified data and persists everything across decisions with versioning and readiness tracking.

Hosting and privacy

The application, its databases, the self-hosted analytics and all backups run on dedicated servers in Germany operated by a European provider, under an Art. 28 GDPR data processing agreement. There is no hyperscaler, no US fallback and no cross-border replication of stored data. Two steps do leave the EU: traffic reaches you through a content delivery provider that terminates TLS in front of the origin, and the AI features are provided from the USA. That second one carries case content: decision memos, document extraction and vendor research all work on what you entered, so where you describe your decision in your own words, that text is part of the request. These transfers rest on EU standard contractual clauses, and every sub-processor is listed by name, purpose and location at nexalign.io/hosting. Whether a given workload can accept them is a question we would rather you decide with the facts than discover later. No third-party trackers, self-hosted analytics, no cookies. nexalign GmbH is a German company and operates DecisionOS under GDPR.

Pricing and access

There is no self-serve purchase flow. Every deployment begins with a short demo covering decision types, compliance scope and stakeholder setup. Book a demo at nexalign.io/book.
